SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST


We provide a business to business wholesaler and online retailer platform with over $50 million in sales annually and have been growing steadily over the past 9 years. In this Financial Analyst position you will provide business analysis on topics like gross margins, operating margins, revenue recognition, capital investment, project ROI, and policies and procedures.

You'll utilize and apply advanced financial modeling, accounting, business & risk management skills, and business judgment to deliver influential advice to drive the company's decision-making process.In addition you have an ability to work in a dynamic, team orientated environment communicate with varies departments to obtain maximum results . As a result of your passion to move a business forward you will have an influence in driving growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analysis and interpretation of data.
• Support management with insightful analysis and interpretation of financial data through periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses
• Financial modeling of prospective business plans
• Tracking and analysis of strategic business initiatives
• Margin optimization, cost reduction and control opportunities, and business process re-engineering
• Responsibilities to include sales and content partner analysis, profitability tracking and areas for improvement
• Proactively develop key financial analysis and insights to help enable the company to meet its monthly, quarterly and annual targets, and strategic objectives
• Monitor current performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• Overview of all levels of vendor accounting, including program tracking, analysis and reconciliation, POS reporting submission and reconciliation, market development fund tracking and reconciliation, rebate tracking and reconciliation.
• Financial statement planning, modeling, and analysis
• Developing metrics and forecasting models that provide transparency and improve performance
• Cash flow projection and analysis
• Partner with Accounting to understand and meet deadlines for financial close Ad hoc projects and analysis
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Previous supervisory experience with a proven ability to effectively motivate and mentor employees
• Expert knowledge of general accounting practices (GAAP) and related applications
• Working knowledge of financial analysis and theory
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, formula calculations, pivot tables and other advanced analytical techniques
• Professional level written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate well with all levels in the organization
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Strong prioritization and analytical skills
• Project management experience
• Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
• Disciplined with the ability to work in a remote environment
• Team Skills/Collaboration -- Work effectively in a team environment
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
• Ability to work within multiple portals/Internet Savvy
