SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
This is a great job working with a stable financial securities company and it offers competitive pay. The ideal Senior Accountant should have relevant experience be, dedicated and ready to take on challenges. This job would be responsible for general ledger, reporting and other projects. The job would also be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and financial statement preparation, account analysis and complex journal entries. There is also the ability to take on more for the right individual!
Responsibilities
- • Performing detailed analysis and providing reports and financial statements as necessary.
- • Reconciling accounts (bank, credit card, cash, insurance payments)
- • Maintaining General Ledger (Completing the balance sheet reconciliation for assigned accounts on a monthly basis)
- • Assist in forecast planning cycles
- • Assisting Controller as needed
- • Responsible for monthly accruals and prepaid expenses
- • Assisting in month end close responsibilities
- • Researching and resolving accounting issues
- • Completing additional job duties as assigned
Requirements for the Senior Accountant:
Typical Candidate:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- • Minimum 5 years of experience
- • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
- • Proven analytical and organizational skills with attention to details required
- • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills 1
- • A proven track record in meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of a team are essential
- • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, V-lookups & Macros)
- • BS/BA Accounting degree or equivalent
- • Proficient with QuickBooks & ERP systems
- • Advanced level of Excel
- • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
- • Strong attention to detail
- • Ability to work with all levels of management
- • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
