FINANCIAL ANALYST - SECURE NETWORKING

We're an award winning leading distributor of secure networking products and solutions. We are in need of a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for supporting management with moderately complex financial analysis and reporting. This includes financial analyses on rates of return, operating results and trend analysis. This role will assist the Accounting Supervisor and Sr. Manager of Finance and Operations in the monthly close, analyzing and reconciling vendor related programs, vendor POS reporting, and ad hoc accounting related projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Analysis and interpretation of data. Support management with insightful analysis and interpretation of financial data through periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses, including, but not limited to:

• • Financial modeling of prospective business plans
• • Tracking and analysis of strategic business initiatives
• • Margin optimization, cost reduction and control opportunities, and business process re-engineering

Periodic reporting:

Prepare a variety of periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) reports that are utilized for all levels of strategic and financial decision-making for the organization. Prepare ad-hoc reports for all levels of management. Following guidelines established by the requestor, create reports that may be used in company wide decision making.

Accounting:

Be responsible for all levels of vendor accounting, including program tracking, analysis and reconciliation, POS reporting submission and reconciliation, market development fund tracking and reconciliation, rebate tracking and reconciliation. Understand accounting and be able to make journal entries and understand financial statements. Be responsible for daily cash application. Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliation such as credit card reconciliation and check reconciliation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1. BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or 4 years of related external experience.
• 2. 1-3 years business experience. Familiarity with working in a highly dynamic, rapid paced environment.
• 3. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• 4. Spreadsheets - Excel - writing macros, developing formulas, using functions such as pivot and lookup tables
• 5. Database - MS Access - multi-table queries, report generation, macros, forms
• 6. Word Processing - MS Word
• 7. Ability to work under general supervision and guidance, at a dynamic pace.
• 8. Must be comfortable manipulating large amounts of data
• 9. Ability to meet deadlines
• 10. Familiarity with SAP Business One a plus
